In an exciting new chapter for Cangkat Cendana, our Chairman, Datuk Suhaidi Sulaiman, and Head of Finance and Operations, Mohd Shazwi, recently travelled to the National Base for International Cultural Trade in Beijing. Pivotal discussions marked the visit centred around forming the International Cultural Trade Collaboration Centre (ICTCC) at the Base.
The meetings were graced by critical personalities from both sides, each contributing with their vast experience and unique perspectives. From our side, we were represented by esteemed individuals like Godwin Cheng, the Beijing Director for the One Belt One Road Association Malaysia and the Cross-border Investment Committee for China Association of International Trade-Regional Economic and Trade Working Committee (CAIT-RET).
On the Chinese side, we were welcomed by a host of representatives, including David Du TianQiao, Executive Director of CAIT-RET and Chairman of Zhong Shi Yue Zhan Culture Media; Dong Wei and Terry Lie from TUSGlobal Innovation Technology, and Jin Xu, President of CAIT, among others.
The visit served as a productive platform for all involved parties to engage in insightful discussions and strategise future collaborations. We delved into the potential of the ICTCC and the benefits it could bring for the ASEAN SMEs looking to make their mark in the Chinese market.
Throughout the meetings, it was clear that each party was committed to this collaboration, recognising its potential for fostering mutual growth. The discussions provided valuable insights into how our strategic alliances can best leverage the unique strengths of both regions.
Overall, this was more than just a meeting - it was a step forward for a promising initiative to broaden the horizons for SMEs across the ASEAN region and China. We are excited to see what this collaboration will yield and are committed to sharing our journey with you.
Stay tuned for more updates on our journey to the ICTCC, and the fruitful collaborations we are looking forward to, as a result of this productive visit.
